The company

Our History ↓

A young company with an ancient tradition

Parvus Ager, from the Latin for “Small Field,” is a young winery that was established together with the next generation of an old family of winemakers

We grandchildren, growing up in the countryside amidst the songs of women picking grapes and the sound of the presses in the cellar, with the pungent smell of fermenting must.

We who as children learned from Grandpa Silvano, our great teacher, to love and respect the vineyard, listening to the stories of his youthful trips on the wine cart as we made “zuppetta” in red wine.

We, today, are finally ready to materialize that retro thought that has accompanied us all our lives: to make something of our own in the world of wine.

Our project  ↓

Innovation that starts with tradition

The quality and authenticity of our wine comes from all the teachings that our grandparents passed on to us and that we have breathed in throughout our lives

The “Parvus Ager project” begins with the complete renewal of existing cultures, through the introduction of high-quality noble grape varieties, and with the use of the most advanced technologies so that the organoleptic characteristics of our grapes, are not lost during the winemaking process, but enhanced and rediscovered with every sip of wine.

The new facilities allow us to control all stages of production of our wines: from cultivation to production and finally to winemaking.

We also maintain low yields per hectare in our cultivations, operating grape and berry selection both in the vineyard and in the winery to ensure the highest quality.

Cultures ↓

This wine tells our story, our passion nurtured by deep roots and matured over time.

Our territory ↓

Of wines shaped by volcanic soil

The richness of the soil and nobility of the vines, combined with careful and constant care in cultivation, result in unique wines

The presence in the soil of basalts, tuffs and pumices rich in minerals, such as potassium, phosphorus, sulfur and magnesium, give the wines balance and richness of flavor.

The volcanic soil, then, benefits from the influence of sea winds, delivering us a product with full grains and persistent flavor, with intense aromas and flavors.

Traditional fees for a modern winery

The pride of Parvus Ager, is the new winery inaugurated with the 2020 harvest, designed to preserve the integrity, flavors and aromas that nature gives us each year

The architecture of the winery, marked by the simplicity of the structure and the choice of eco-friendly materials, respects those traditional canons that have always characterized rural construction, materializing that delicate and indispensable union, between the need for progress and respect for the environment.

The essential features of the built environment have been reworked into a contextual architecture capable of fitting into the delicate balance between the environment and existing architecture. The cellar, in fact, is not a simple “container” designed to house the various stages of production; but, rather, an element that contributes to the success of the product.
